From conflict to connection

The benefit of conflict

Conflict often has a negative connotation. However, conflict also has a positive and functional side: conflict recovery is often the starting point for a new beginning, a source of change and renewal. Participants may initially feel like the conflict is only getting worse, but in reality this is not the case. It is the starting point for connection.

Connection

Amendix Mediation creates that connection: differences in perspectives and opinions are addressed constructively and harmoniously. We empower families, (ex-)partners, friends, associates, colleagues, business partners and employers/employees to find their own solutions and contribute to a culture of dialogue and collaboration.

Prevent legal battles

Mediation is more effective than fighting a long-lasting legal battle through lawyers. This often results in all parties losing. Our mediation prioritizes voluntariness, confidentiality, transparency and mutual respect. Amendix guides the process, working to uncover the participants' true concerns. Often, it is not about the value of the exit settlement, the amount of alimony, or the size of the inheritance; underlying interests are at stake. Mediation is more than just negotiating and focuses on repair of relationships. The mediator serves both parties, remaining neutral and independent. The goal is for the participants to reach a better outcome together. The parties themselves determine the result.

Where necessary, Amendix collaborates with a tax specialist, lawyer, notary, accountant, real estate agent or mortgage advisor. A parallel program for individuals, including therapy or coaching, can also be part of the solution. Amendix documents the agreements made by the participants in a final binding contract.

Conflict management

Our 3 areas of expertise:

Labor

Labor mediation helps to reopen the dialogue when a conflict arises at work. This may involve difficult cooperation between colleagues, disputes between works councils, knowledge departments, management, or a disrupted relationship between employer and employee. In employment mediation, the focus is on restoring communication and finding a sustainable solution that both parties support.

This may lead to repairing the relationship so that collaboration can continue, or to a mutual decision to part ways in a respectful manner. In both cases, mediation provides clarity and certainty, allowing all involved to move forward.

Thanks to her broad professional experience, specialized training in labor mediation and in-depth knowledge of employment law, Hanneke is well equipped to guide the process with expertise and sensitivity.

Family

Family mediation can be used for a wide range of issues, such as divorces and separations, weakened collaboration within family businesses or conflicts between parents and children or siblings (for example, regarding informal caregiving or inheritances). Family issues often involve deep emotions, such as grief, misunderstanding and frustration. It is important for the participants to find the right balance, with the principle that children are the priority in divorce procedures. Family mediation impacts multiple generations.

Thanks to her personal experience, as well as her legal and tax-economic background, Hanneke is excellently positioned to guide family matters and if desired, to contribute to solutions.

For expats and internationals, on-site mediation combined with (partially) remote mediation is also possible.

mediation focuses on resolving disputes within or between companies and organizations. Instead of pursuing legal procedures, mediation helps the parties involved to find a mutually agreed-upon solution.

Business

Business mediation is used for a wide range of issues: conflicts within partnerships, between shareholders, associates, directors and management teams, or tensions within/with work councils and unions.

Thanks to her years of business experience, first with the Big Four and later with a multinational with an American parent company, Hanneke understands the dynamics of complex international matrix organizations, enabling her to guide the discussion effectively.

Support throughout the Netherlands, remote and international on-site is available.
